I wrote this
tutorial using PSP XI, if you are using another version you may need to make
some adjustments.
Ok grab your
PSPing supplies.. Like your drink, snack, and so on.. lol
I did not use any
external filters in this tutorial
All measurements
in my tutorials are in pixels.
***When you open
the supplies, you will think that the one titled SunsetangelSelection is just a
blank canvas, it’s not you will need this later on in this tutorial, so just
minimize it.
Ok , let’s get
started..
Open a new
transparent image 499 X 445 pixels
Set your
foreground color to #c6a5a9 and your background color to #c5a1ab
Now flood fill
your canvas with your background color.
Now Open a new
transparent image 414 X 319, now grab your preset shape tool and place a rectangle onto this canvas. Now select
all, selections Modify ~ contract: 3 now add a new raster layer and copy the ~Misted_Golden_Sea_RM
and paste it into selection.
Now highlight the
layer with the rectangle and copy it, now paste it onto your 499 X 445 canvas.
As a new layer. Now duplicate it 2 more times, hide the top 2 layers, and make
the first rectangle layer active. Now move it so it is up towards the left top,
and then unhide the next rectangle layer and move it like you did the first one,
but to the right and down a little, and repeat this step for the third one,
Now back to the
other canvas, where you made the rectangle, make the ~Misted_Golden_Sea_RM layer
active, now paste that over onto your work in progress as a new layer, and move
it so it sits in that last rectangle.
Now resize the
angel tube to 328 X 206 pixels and paste it onto your canvas as a new layer and
move it to the bottom (see my tag as an example)
Now make your
bottom layer active, and add a new raster layer. Now grab your brush tool, and
select the “swirl” brush I have included a psp image of it, if you do not have
this as a brush (because I am unsure if it comes with PSP or not. All you need
to do is go to file ~ export ~ custom brush. And then name it and save it and
then you will have it). Now using your foreground color, “stamp” around the
sides of the rectangles. Now, change the blend mode to “Burn”
Now Make your top
layer active, and add a new raster layer. Now add your water mark, and text. If
you ant to add a inner bevel or drop shadow, do so now.
Now add another
raster layer.
Ok, now comes the harder part. In the supply folder, I have included the drop
animations, but due to the fact that in the new PSP XI, if you copy and paste
something from AS to PSP XI you loose the transparency, they have been saved as
.pspimages if you are using psp X or lower, you can open it in AS and copy and
paste the frames one at a time.. but in PSP XI you will need to open it in PSP.
I personally think it was easier to open them in PSP and do it the way that is
explained below. Because you can keep track of the frames a lot easier.
With the top layer active. Go to selections ~ load/save selection ~ load from
alpha channel ~ SunsetangelSelection. Now you should see marching ants on your
canvas.
Now activate the pinkdotsleft image. Now hide all of the layers except “frame 1”
Now go to your material pallet, and left click on your foreground color, now you
will see this..
now find the “pinkdotsleft” and select it, make sure that the direction is at
0(Zero) and the scale is 100 and select it.
Now flood fill the left selection with the “pinkdotsleft” pattern.
Now go back to your patterns and find the “pinkdotstop” and select that one and
flood fill the top selection with that one.
Select none.
Now right click and “copy Merged… and paste it over to AS as a new animation.
Now back in PSP, click your undo button 3 times
Now go to your “pinkdotsleft” and hide the “frame 1” layer and unhide the “frame
2” layer. And do the same with the “pinkdotstop” now find the “pinkdotsleft” and
select it, now flood fill the left selection.. and then go back to your
patterns and find the “pinkdotstop” and select that one and flood fill the top
selection with that one.
Now select none.. and copy merge…. And paste it over to AS “After current
frame”
Now repeat the above steps until you have flood filled with all 8 frames. Each
time you come back to psp from pasting “after a current frame” hide the frame
you just flood filled with and unhide the next one. Until you have done all 8
frames.
Now animate it and you are done! If you would like to resize it because it is to
large for you.. this is what you do…
Go to edit ~ select all ~ animation ~ resize animation I resized mine to 353 X
315
